Power-to-X (P2X) converts electricity (“power”) into sustainable green products (the “X”). The input comes from renewable sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and hydropower; the output consists of clean fuels (e-fuels) and chemicals — hydrogen, fuel gases, and liquid fuels such as gasoline, ammonia, kerosene, and diesel. Sector coupling — the interconnection and joint deployment of energy sectors — is at the core of this process.
