1. Filter housings
KLINGER Belgium offers a wide choice of industrial filter housings, both for the process industry and the food sector. Our filter housings are available in various material grades:
- Stainless steel filter housing for demanding conditions and aggressive media
- PVDF filter housing for maximum chemical resistance in the chemical industry
- Plastic filter housings in polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE)
The choice of the right filter housing depends on the flow rate, required capacity, operating pressure and temperature, chemical properties of the medium, and the applicable quality standards and PED category.
2. Filter bags & filter cartridges
Filtration via filter bags and filter cartridges remains one of the most common filtration techniques in industry, usable as pre-, intermediate, or final filtration.
Filter cartridges offer maximum flexibility: the filter medium, the supporting structure, and the seals are fully adaptable to the process conditions. Suitable for chemicals and petrochemistry, for the food industry with the required European certificates, and for applications with increased pressure or temperature with stainless steel filter cartridges. The most common filter elements are deliberately kept in stock for fast delivery.
Filter bags are ideally suited for higher volume flows, available in various material grades and filter finenesses. Thanks to our wide range of filter parts, we always have a suitable replacement ready for existing or outdated filter components, regardless of the original brand.
3. Filter plates & modules
Plate filtration is a proven technique in the food industry. Filter plates offer a simple, robust, and scalable solution that has proven its value for decades. KLINGER Belgium complements this with innovative filter modules and backflush filters as an alternative to traditional systems. The most suitable filter solution depends on your priorities: ease of use, batch size, existing pre-filter steps, the desire for backflushing, and production frequency. Our specialists help you make the right trade-off.
4. Self-cleaning filters
KLINGER Belgium supplies Hiflux self-cleaning filters for a wide range of applications in almost every industry — from chemicals and food to energy and utilities.
Through automatic cleaning via reciprocating or rotating scrapers, driven by an electric motor or pneumatic cylinder, unwanted particles are continuously removed from the liquid flow. This allows your installation to run uninterrupted, without production downtime for filter changes or cleaning.
A concrete application is the protection of heat exchangers in closed water circuits. In such systems, such as HVAC installations or power plants, magnetite particles (iron oxide) circulate in the water. These particles attack heat exchangers, increase energy consumption, and shorten the lifespan of the installation.
A self-cleaning filter removes these particles continuously, protects the heat exchanger, and significantly reduces handling and maintenance costs. In this way, operating costs are greatly reduced and the problems surrounding waste disposal are also completely or largely eliminated.
5. Strainers
Thanks to their robust design, basket filters can be used in a very wide spectrum of applications. In addition to a high collection capacity, these industrial strainers handle high flow rates and almost any type of liquid and viscosity well, and very high temperatures are also not a problem.
6. Filter paper
KLINGER Belgium supplies an extensive range of filter paper and non-woven filter cloth on rolls and cut to size for industrial liquid filtration. These filter cloths are extremely suitable for filtering aqueous emulsions and cutting or food oils, but also applicable for air filtration.
With a varied range of fiber types, structures, and mechanical strengths, KLINGER always offers a suitable solution for the most diverse applications.
7. Separators
A separator is used to separate liquids and solids based on a difference in density. This principle also makes it possible to efficiently separate liquids that normally mix well (such as fuel and lubricating oil). KLINGER Belgium supplies various types for diverse applications:
- Centrifugal separator: efficient separation via centrifugal force at high throughput speeds
- Oil-water separator: separation of oil and water for bilge water, lubricating oil, and coolant treatment
- Decantation tank: for sedimenting media
- Lubricating oil separator and fuel separator: for cleaning oil and fuel
Separators are typically used to clean liquids, such as fuel, lubricating oil, bilge water, and milk in the food industry.
8. Water filtration
KLINGER Belgium supplies reliable self-cleaning water filters with an ingeniously simple design that ensures safe operation year after year. This filtration solution is sustainably usable for water from natural sources, such as seawater, lake water, and river water, but also for industrial process water and cooling water.
The automatic cleaning via built-in scrapers or rotating elements ensures continuous operation without production downtime and greatly reduced operating costs.
The filter housing is available in:
- GRP (glass-fiber reinforced polyester) water filtration: light, durable, and corrosion-resistant
- PVC water filtration: cost-efficient option for lighter applications
- Stainless steel water filtration: for higher pressure or hygienic requirements
These sectors rely on KLINGER filtration
