On-site support

On-site troubleshooting, audits, product advice, and training.

A leak that won’t go away. A control system that keeps hunting. A steam trap that has been leaking steam for months without anyone noticing. You could call a supplier for that, or a service company, or the manufacturer. At KLINGER, you call one number, and someone arrives who knows the product, understands the installation, and can repair it themselves.

Request on-site support

One partner, from measuring instrument to maintenance

Most industrial problems are not limited to a single component. A valve that doesn’t seal could be a seat issue, an incorrect tightening torque, an actuator providing insufficient torque, or a control system that causes the valve to hunt continuously. Those who only supply the valve only see half the picture.

We have the complete loop in-house: the measuring instrument, the valve, the actuator, the control system, and the maintenance. This means that in the event of a malfunction, there is no party that can point to another. You get a cause, not a referral.

service on site

What we do on-site

  • On-site troubleshooting: Our technicians come to your installation, take measurements, and find the cause. Where possible, we resolve it on-site. Where that is not possible, we take the component to our own workshop.
  • Practical product advice: Advice based on your actual process conditions — medium, pressure, temperature, cycle frequency — not based on what was in the previous order. This often prevents a recurring problem that has persisted for years.
  • Studies and audits: We map out what your installation is currently costing in losses: steam trap audits, leak tightness checks, insulation scans, emission measurements. You receive a report with findings per measuring point and a prioritization.
  • Training for your own staff: Some of the malfunctions we resolve can be prevented by your own team. We provide training on steam and flange integrity, either at our location or yours, using your own equipment as practice material.

Why it works with us

KLINGER wears three hats at once, and that is no coincidence; it is the reason why our on-site support goes beyond a mere service report.

  • Manufacturer. Through the KLINGER Group, we produce our own sealing materials, valves, and level measurement equipment. If a technician on-site determines that a material is not suitable for your process, we have access to the people and laboratories that manufactured it.
  • Distributor. We also supply what we do not manufacture ourselves. Therefore, our advice is not limited to a single catalog: we provide the solution that fits, even if it comes from another manufacturer.
  • Service provider. Our own workshop, our own technicians. Repairs, overhauls, and testing are done in-house, not by a subcontractor whom we, in turn, have to call.

These three together ensure that we cover the entire process: from the choice of material and delivery to the repair five years later. Without any change of parties along the way.

You get the specialist, not the middleman

We work with a designated specialist for each product family. Not an account manager who passes on your question and gets back to you three days later, but the person who has mastered the subject matter themselves.

Behind these experts stands an international group with its own factories and test laboratories. Small enough to know you by name, large enough to stand behind their work.

How a service intervention works

  1. You report the problem. By phone or via the form. Describe what you observe — medium, pressure, and exactly what is going wrong.
  2. Together, we determine if it can be resolved remotely. A portion of the questions are resolved by a specialist over the phone. This saves you a day of waiting.
  3. On-site intervention. The technician arrives with the correct measuring equipment and, where possible, with the parts that are likely needed based on your report.
  4. Repair on-site or in our workshop. What cannot be handled on-site is taken with us. You will be informed in advance of what this means for the lead time.
  5. Report and advice. You receive a written report of what was established and what you can do to avoid recurrence.

A problem that keeps recurring?

Present it to the expert for that product family. Often, after just one conversation, we already know whether it requires an intervention or is a design question.
