Desuperheaters & steam conditioning valves
Steam coming from the boiler rarely has the pressure and temperature required for your process. A desuperheater lowers the temperature by injecting water into the steam flow. A steam conditioning valve does more: it regulates pressure and temperature in a single device.
They are used where higher-level steam needs to be made suitable for a downstream process: in turbine bypass, heat recovery, or when a single steam network must serve multiple consumers.
At Glass Recycling Limburg, we conditioned steam from 35 bar(g) and 400 °C to 12 bar(g) and 195 °C, over 680 meters of piping.
