Thermocompressors
Thermocompressors
In many installations, low-pressure steam is lost: flash steam from condensate, or residual vapor that is vented because there is no consumer for it. A thermocompressor uses a jet of high-pressure steam to entrain that low-pressure steam and deliver them together at a usable intermediate level.
You therefore reuse steam that would otherwise be lost, without moving parts and without additional external energy.
At Glass Recycling Limburg, this approach delivers 15 to 20% less energy consumption in the drying process, with a capacity of up to 3 MW.
