What will you do?

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you are responsible for the supplier accounting of KLINGER Belgium. You ensure that incoming invoices are processed correctly, timely, and in accordance with regulations, and you serve as a fixed point of contact for suppliers and colleagues. You report to the Finance Manager.

  • You record incoming service and goods invoices, link them to the corresponding purchase orders (POs), check them, and ensure the correct analytical coding and necessary approvals.
  • You follow up on the A/P aging list, reconcile supplier accounts with payments, prepare payments, and record bank transactions.
  • You process expense notes and credit card expenditures.
  • You manage the general mailboxes, prepare customs documents for imports, and request declarations from transporters.
  • You monitor compliance with tax and other regulations, such as VAT legislation, and internal controls.
  • You provide support during the month-end and year-end closing and during audits.
  • You regularly perform tasks within Accounts Receivable, so that you can easily step in as a backup.

Who are you?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in accountancy or are equivalent through experience.
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch, French, and English, both spoken and written.
  • You have knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation.
  • You work proficiently with IT tools; knowledge of Business Central is an asset.
  • You are digitally skilled and open to AI-supported tools: you critically check the output and handle confidential data with care.
  • You are analytically strong, accurate, and critical, without losing your helicopter view.
  • You communicate fluently and enjoy working in a team.
  • You are stress-resistant and assertive.

What do we offer you?

  • A full-time position with a permanent contract.
  • A family-like working atmosphere in a stable, people-oriented company.
  • Room to take initiative and make the role your own.
  • Training opportunities and space for personal development.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home one day a week, for a good work-life balance.
  • Attractive employment conditions with fringe benefits: smartphone, 11 RDOs (ADV days), group and hospitalization insurance, meal and eco-vouchers, bonus, and a flexible benefit plan.
