Compression packings

KLINGER compression packings offer a reliable seal for valves and pumps with rotating or reciprocating movements. They are manufactured from high-quality materials and are available in various material combinations and grades, with certifications such as TA-Luft.
Depending on the application, you can choose from graphite, synthetic fibers, or PTFE. Graphite is particularly suitable for high temperatures and combines good chemical resistance with excellent sealing properties. Synthetic fibers offer high wear resistance and stability for demanding pump applications. PTFE combines very good chemical resistance with low friction and is therefore particularly suitable for aggressive media.
Thus, there is a suitable packing solution for various combinations of medium, temperature, pressure, and movement.

Frequently asked questions about compression packings
1. What are compression packings used for?
Braided compression packing is used in the stuffing boxes of valves and pumps, both for rotating shafts and reciprocating rods. It seals the space between the moving (or static) component and the housing.
2. Which grade do I need?
That depends on your application (pump, valve, or agitator), whether it is static or dynamic, and on the temperature, pressure, and medium. Specific grades exist for aggressive and abrasive media. Our specialists will help you make the right choice.
3. Are the compression packings certified?
Various grades have certifications such as TA-Luft.
4. Do you also supply preformed solutions?
Yes. In addition to braided compression packings, we offer preformed pure graphite rings (K80, K80S, K80S TA-HT) and autoclave packings (P71 to P75K).
