As an international specialist in industrial sealing, KLINGER has been synonymous with quality, reliability, and durability for over 140 years. This is once again proven by several new products. The KGS GII, in particular, stands out as a powerful solution for the drinking water and wastewater market. Patrick De Letter, Business Development Manager, provides further details.

KGS GII: rubber-metal gasket
Rubber-metal gaskets
“For decades, we have been known in the market for the KGS S/TK and G2 gaskets,” explains Patrick De Letter. “We recently launched a new variant: the KGS GII. This was developed based on specific market needs, offering better performance and a more competitive price. The KGS GII is a universal rubber-metal gasket with a flat, fully encapsulated CS insert that ensures exceptional dimensional stability, even with large diameters or uneven flange surfaces. The product can be used on almost all flange combinations: carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or plastic.”
The product is available in various rubber grades (EPDM, NBR, FKM) and is certified for drinking water (including Belgaqua, WRAS, DVGW W270, EN681-1, ACS WARS (BS6920), FDA Conformity, TA-Luft (Clean Air Act)). “We offer the KGS GII in diameters from DN15 up to DN2000, and it is characterized by a very low minimum surface pressure (from 0.5 MPa to a maximum of 80 MPa). The KGS GII is the ideal choice for drinking water and water treatment plants, as well as filtration systems. This product has been in use for years in Munich’s drinking water network, as well as in various drinking water installations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and other European countries.”

MK GII: Wall penetrations
Wall penetrations
KLINGER also offers smart solutions for pipe penetrations. For example, the MK GII is a compact, easy-to-install wall penetration for pipes in drinking water stations, among other applications. “This solution is ideal for applications where space is limited or speed is a priority, as this product combines efficient installation with a reliable seal. The wall penetrations are available from DN 25 to DN 2000 and are suitable for standard applications in the water and energy sectors. The EPDM seal (Shore 42 ± 3) guarantees a durable, watertight connection. The MK GII is suitable for frequent connections such as bypasses or valves and is also characterized by an excellent price-quality ratio,” says De Letter.

KGS/VD: flexible sealing for angular misalignment
Finally, the KGS/VD offers a robust, adaptable gasket that effortlessly accommodates angular misalignment of up to 8°. “The special rubber compound and integrated CS insert ensure an airtight and secure seal, even under variable pressure. Thanks to its drinking water certification (Belgaqua, WRAS, W270, KTW, ACS, EN681-1/70) and easy installation, this is a smart choice for critical applications,” says De Letter. “The KGS/VD avoids the need for pipe adjustments and is particularly popular with technical services and maintenance departments.”
