A steam installation rarely leaks in just one place. Losses are spread out: in steam traps that no longer close, in valves without insulation, and in a condensate network with excessive back pressure. Each individual point is small. Together, they determine your energy bill, your maintenance costs, and the lifespan of your equipment.
We identify these points and resolve them in order of the highest return on investment.
What we do
- Steam trap audits — including measurement
- Steam system studies or studies of specific sections, focused on safety, efficiency, and energy savings
- Training that teaches your team what to look for and why
- Support with equipment selection, tailored to your actual process conditions
- Solutions for complex steam issues where a standard product is insufficient

The benefits
- Lower energy consumption
- Reduced CO₂ emissions
- More efficient steam use
- Lower maintenance costs
- Longer service life for your equipment
- A safer installation
Why we look beyond the defective part
Replacing a leaking steam trap solves that single point of failure. However, if the cause lies elsewhere—such as excessive back pressure in the return network, an incorrectly chosen type for the application, or a control system that pushes the trap outside its operating range—the new trap will fail again within a year.
That is why we start with the system rather than the component. Only when we understand why something fails do we know the correct intervention.
Developing an improvement plan together
With the KLINGER scan, we analyse the current condition of your installation, inventory problem and risk situations, and develop a realistic improvement plan together with you. This plan is not just an inventory but a sequence: which interventions come first, what they cost, and what they deliver. This allows you to work in phases instead of having to budget for everything at once.
Quality, safety, and sustainability
Safety comes first. We understand the risks associated with the process industry and take them into account in our advice, not just in the products we supply.
Sustainability follows the same logic. Every steam loss you eliminate is fuel you do not burn and CO₂ you do not emit. This is not a separate programme alongside technical work; it is the same work, viewed from a different perspective.
A low total cost of ownership
We supply technically high-quality components. Sometimes the initial purchase is more expensive, but it costs less over its entire lifespan.
That calculation only works under three conditions: the right product in the right position, carefully installed, and regularly checked. That is why our involvement does not end with delivery. We train you and your team and provide support for technical bottlenecks—which improves the quality of your process and saves costs in the long run.
That is what we mean by total cost of ownership: not the lowest invoice today, but the lowest cost over the entire service life.
